*--* Rk School (Sec., Div.) Comment 1 Don Lugo (SS-Div. I) Ranked ninth in nation by Harrier magazine after losing only one meet all season and romping to Div. I titles in the Southern Section and state championships. 2 Royal (SS-Div. I) Highlanders were ranked 20th in the nation after finishing second to Don Lugo in the section and state championships. 3 Murrieta Valley (SS-Div. I) Nighthawks were only team to beat Don Lugo and placed third in state Div. I race after finishing fourth in section finals. 4 Upland (SS-Div. I) Highlanders placed fourth in the state Div. I final after finishing sixth at section championships. 5 Rancho Cucamonga (SS-Div. I) Upland’s Baseline League rival placed fifth in the state Div. I final after a third-place effort in the section championships. 6 St. John Bosco (SS-Div. II) Braves were one of the most consistent teams in the region and won Div. II titles at section and state championships. 7 Dana Hills (SS-Div. I) The Orange County champions placed sixth in the state Div. I final after a fifth-place effort in the section championships. 8 C.C. Canyon (SS-Div. I) Cowboys lacked a high-quality front runner but still finished seventh in the tough Southern Section Div. I final. 9 San Luis Obispo (SS-Div. III) Tigers timed their peak perfectly, winning Div. III titles in the section and state championships. 10 Crescenta Valley (SS-Div. I) Falcons placed eighth in the Southern Section Div. I final, four points behind C.C. Canyon.
