Another Texas birding site

I was excited and surprised to see the cradle of my birth highlighted in “Taking Flight on the Rio Grande,” Dec. 14. I had hoped the article would have mentioned Los Ebanos Preserve, which is relatively new on the area birding scene. Los Ebanos is farther south by about 45 minutes than McAllen and offers superior birding opportunities. Check it out at www.losebanospreserve.com.
