Barnsdall respite

Back in the ‘80s, rarely a week went by during the six-plus years I lived in L.A. that I was not up at Barnsdall Park (“Some Unfinished Business,” by Mike Boehm, June 1). Some of us, I see, grow addicted to the tranquil beauty up there -- a rare oasis that can feel so aesthetically distant to the neighborhood at its feet.
Surely, they will find a way to complete the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House -- the park’s enriching center. Although the re-landscaped setting from the street looks a tad sterile so far, I read with interest that what they are up to will more closely approximate what Wright and company did.
I’m falling in love all over again.
