Something good about smokers
Great article for the hordes of future lung cancer patients (“Sky, Stars ... No Reason to Fume Now,” May 15)! Let’s do all we can to promote cigarette smoking, providing there’s a buck to be made. Your writer didn’t address the fact that non-smokers at these establishments also enjoy the same outdoor environment.
Doing so not only entails becoming a secondhand smoker but necessitates throwing one’s rancid clothes in the washer ASAP upon arriving home. And even though these establishments provide ashtrays in the “patios,” one may always observe more butts on the floor. Ahhh, smokers ... what good can be said about them? Oh, I remember. They spend money.
