Re “Scientist Denies Molesting Girl,” Aug. 3: I believe that in our system of justice, one who is accused is presumed innocent until proved guilty and, until that occurs, is to be treated with sympathy and dignity. Apparently The Times disagrees; its coverage of the William French Anderson case, with humiliating picture and text, has brought the paper to the level of a cheap tabloid.
