“Capitalizing on a Politician’s Clout,” Dec. 19:
So Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters’ family may have used her name and connections to benefit themselves a bit.
In this Republican age we live in, [Republicans] pass new rules to excuse the far more serious crimes of their House leader, Tom DeLay, and subvert elections in entire states, and their president is responsible for the killing of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. Pardon me if I don’t give a damn what Waters’ family does.
