Two men convicted of an October Loma Linda bank robbery, which ended with one accomplice being shot and killed by police, were sentenced Tuesday to prison.
A San Bernardino County Superior Court judge sentenced Wayne McDaniel to 40 years, four months and delivered a 25-year, four-month sentence to Adrian Tarver.
McDaniel, 19, and Tarver, 28, were convicted in May of robbery for the benefit of a Los Angeles-based criminal street gang.
The two and Thomas Giovone’Da-Brice Jones, 18, of Los Angeles escaped from the Citibank branch in Loma Linda on Oct. 20 carrying “thousands in cash” in pillowcases, according to Ron Webster, deputy district attorney. Jones, an alleged gang member, was shot by police.
