Six Flags Cites Weather as Net Income Drops

Regional theme park operator Six Flags Inc. posted a 60% drop in third-quarter net income as unseasonably cool weather and hurricanes cut park attendance.
Profit fell to $56.4 million, or 53 cents a share, from $140.2 million, or $1.32, a year earlier. Revenue fell 3.4% to $527.4 million.
For the year, Six Flags said it expected to achieve attendance of 33.2 million, revenue of $1.02 billion to $1.03 billion, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $250 million to $255 million.
