SAN FRANCISCO — The woman who said she found a finger in her bowl of Wendy’s chili last month has been arrested, San Jose police said Thursday.
Anna Ayala was arrested at her Las Vegas home Thursday night, police spokesman Enrique Garcia said. He said no further details would be released until a news conference today.
The arrest came hours after Wendy’s ended its investigation into the incident, saying that it could find no link between the finger and the restaurant chain.
Ayala told police that she found the finger March 22 while eating at a Wendy’s in San Jose. She said she would sue but then decided against it.
