A 59-year-old man was killed Saturday morning when a car he was repairing slipped into gear and ran over him at least twice, police said.
The man, who was not identified, was run over in a Main Street parking lot, said Santa Ana Police Sgt. Lorenzo Carrillo.
The car, with its hood open, was “out of control and in reverse,” Carrillo said.
A witness pulled the man out of the path of the car and stopped the engine.
