Dallas Opens New Home With Tie

Youri Djorkaeff scored two second-half goals Saturday night to rally the MetroStars to a 2-2 tie with FC Dallas in the first game at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.
Djorkaeff’s goals wiped out a 2-0 halftime deficit and helped the MetroStars improve to 7-6-8. Dallas (10-5-5) is winless in its last five games.
Carlos Ruiz scored twice for Dallas, including the first goal in the new stadium on a bicycle kick in the 31st minute.

San Jose 2, Columbus 1 -- The Earthquakes took sole possession of first place in the Western Conference with their 12th consecutive home victory.
A free kick by Brad Davis past goalkeeper Jonny Walker in the 54th minute was the difference.
Dwayne De Rosario gave the Earthquakes (10-4-7) a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute with a goal assisted by Ronald Cerritos and Alejandro Moreno.
Chris Henderson scored for the Crew (6-11-3) late in the game.

D.C. United 3, Chicago 2 -- Brian Carroll, Dema Kovalenko and Moreno scored and United (9-6-5) withstood a late rally to beat the host Fire (11-8-3).
United’s Freddy Adu started but left after 35 minutes because of a strained ligament in his right knee.

Kansas City 2, New England 1 -- Scott Sealy scored the winning goal in the 74th minute and the Wizards (8-5-8) ended a nine-match home winning streak by the Revolution (10-4-6).
