Re “Court Ruling Aids Domestic
Partnerships,” Aug. 2
Congratulations to our California Supreme Court for the 6-0 decision providing the same rights and benefits to same-sex couples registered as domestic partners as married heterosexual couples enjoy. I am, however, always dismayed (and genuinely puzzled) at the reactions of gay-rights opponents. I would like to know, just who is being “intolerant”? And since when is discrimination OK as a “deeply felt standard” for any individual or group?
