Bicyclist Struck, Killed by Motorist

A 30-year-old bicyclist was struck by a car and killed late Saturday night, police said Sunday.
The accident occurred about 11 p.m. when the car hit the bicyclist as he crossed the 4700 block of West 1st Street, said Lt. Chuck Deakins, a Santa Ana police spokesman. The man’s name was not released.
No drugs or alcohol appear to have been involved, and the driver of the car was not arrested, Deakins said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
