Joint Port Agency Urged

Re “Plan to Cut Port Smog to Be Unveiled,” Dec. 27: It appears to me that the (air pollution) problems at the port cannot be resolved without including the Port of Long Beach in the discussions and solutions. Ultimately, we will have to consider the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports as one entity. It would be terrible and time-consuming if Long Beach spends time and money duplicating the efforts of the Port of Los Angeles later. That’s the problem we have now.
Perhaps a joint agency would be much more effective and in the best interest of the citizens affected by the gross amount of pollutants in our air.
