Skier Killed, Another Injured in Avalanche

An avalanche in southwestern Montana killed one cross-country skier and injured another, leaving him stranded in the snow for two days until a helicopter could rescue him.
The dead skier was identified as Blake Morstad, 24, a writer for a Bozeman-based online outdoors magazine who often wrote about snow safety. The injured skier was not identified.
