Girl Walking to School Is Sexually Assaulted

A man armed with a handgun sexually assaulted a child as she walked to an elementary school Tuesday morning, police said.
The attack occurred about 7:30 a.m. on a pedestrian crossing under the Harbor Freeway at 69th Street.
The attacker was described as dark-skinned with twists in his hair, wearing a blue beanie, a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black Adidas shoes.
