From Times Staff Reports
A specialist testified Friday that bloodstains in the car where Robert Blake’s wife was fatally shot provided no evidence to link the actor to the crime.
Rod Englert said he found no bloodstains on Blake’s clothing. Blood found on the seat and center of the car’s console “don’t tell you one way or another if Robert Blake shot his wife,” Englert testified.
Prosecutors maintain that Blake murdered Bonny Lee Bakley in 2001 to gain custody of their infant daughter, Rosie.
