Hmong Migrants Left Begging After Eviction

From Times Wire Reports
Thousands of ethnic Hmong in northern Thailand were begging for food and shelter after the Thai government evicted them from their homes in an effort to force their return to their native Laos.
“Please help, we’re very hungry,” read a sign along a road in Phetchabun province near the Laotian border.
Thai authorities suspect the illegal immigrants help Hmong exile groups stage attacks inside Laos. The Hmong say they will be persecuted if repatriated because of their Vietnam War-era ties with the United States.
