Greek Man Accused of Smuggling Iraqis

Mexico’s attorney general’s office said a Greek citizen was being held on charges he helped Iraqis enter Mexico with fake passports.
Dimitrios Kiassos was arrested May 12 at Mexico City airport and has been held over for trial after a judge reviewed allegations that the Greek participated in a migrant smuggling network.
Iraqi migrants were charged $6,000 for fake Greek passports with the goal of reaching Tijuana, across the U.S. border from San Diego, and later crossing into the United States, prosecutors alleged.
