$2,500 Reward Offered for Missing Police Dog

A $2,500 reward has been offered for information leading to the return of the city’s only police dog, a drug-sniffing canine that disappeared from his handler’s Hollister home.
Arno, a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, is a two-year veteran of the Capitola Police Department. He apparently slipped out an unlocked backyard gate on Sunday, Det. Mark Gonzalez said.
“He’s an excellent asset, and we don’t want to lose him,” he said.
