The Los Angeles County Museum of Art has hired two new music directors, conductor-composer Mitch Glickman, formerly executive director at the Henry Mancini Institute, and Erato Philharmonia founder Peyman Farzinpour.
Glickman and Farzinpour join “Sundays Live” director Bill Vestal in programming music at the museum.
LACMA also will launch two new music series, “Latin Sounds,” Saturday afternoons, May 6 through Sept. 2, and “The Mix at Eight,” select weeknights starting in the fall. Adding to the continuing “Sundays Live” and “Friday Night Jazz” programs, LACMA will present 117 music concerts in the new season, its most ever.
