A message from John Lennon

The producers of the pay-per-view television show that will attempt contact with John Lennon [“Imagine a Lennon Seance,” by Geoff Boucher, March 23] need only check out the Beatles’ “White Album” for the singer’s own opinion on this crass and exploitative excuse for entertainment.
In the song “Cry Baby Cry,” John sings: “At 12 o’clock a meeting round the table for a seance in the dark. With voices out of nowhere, put on specially by the children for a lark.”
