* Colorado 2, at St. Louis 1: Third baseman Troy Glaus’ throwing error allowed the tying run to score and Jayson Nix walked with the bases loaded in the Rockies’ two-run eighth inning. The temperature was 46 degrees at the start of the rescheduled opener for both teams.

* at San Diego 2, Houston 1: Trevor Hoffman earned his 525th career save and the Padres beat the Astros for the second game in a row. Scott Hairston hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to help Chris Young, who gave up a run and four hits in 5 2/3 innings to get the win.

* at Florida 5, New York 4 (10): Robert Andino’s first career home run with two outs in the 10th inning gave the Marlins the win.

* at Dodgers 3, San Francisco 2: Rafael Furcal scored from second base on pinch-hitter Delwyn Young’s infield single with two outs in the ninth inning.
