Perahia exits concert tour
Pianist-conductor Murray Perahia has dropped out of an 11-city U.S. tour with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields because of a skin infection. He will be replaced by conductor Neville Marriner and 21-year-old Chinese pianist Yuja Wang. Three Southland venues are affected: the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, March 26; Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, March 27; and UCLA’s Royce Hall, March 29.
