at Philadelphia 4, Chicago 1 (13 innings): Jayson Werth’s three-run homer in the 13th inning gave the Phillies their 10th straight victory, their longest win streak since 1991, when they won 13 in a row from July 30 to Aug. 12.
at Houston 11, St. Louis 6: The Astros’ three homers included Carlos Lee’s grand slam. Houston trails the Cardinals by two games in the NL Central.
at Atlanta 8, San Francisco 1: Martin Prado had three hits and scored three runs, and Brian McCann had a three-run homer and four RBIs.
Milwaukee 2, at Pittsburgh 0: Braden Looper pitched seven shutout innings and Prince Fielder had two RBI singles. The Pirates were shut out for the ninth time this season.
at Washington 4, New York 0: John Lannan threw his first career shutout. The Mets have been shut out five times in their last 13 games.
Florida 3, at San Diego 2: Chris Volstad pitched seven strong innings.
at Dodgers 12, Cincinnati 3: Rafael Furcal had a homer and four RBIs.
