Space history: An article in Section A on Jan. 29 about efforts to register items at the Apollo 11 landing site as an official California State Historical Resource said armrests from astronauts’ cockpit seats were among the equipment left behind on the lunar surface. Although the Eagle lunar lander was fitted with armrests, the astronauts used them while standing; they did not have seats.
Luxury-home prices: An article in Business on Saturday about a slump in the high-end housing market referred to Osterville, Maine. Osterville is in Massachusetts.
Classical pianist: In a review of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Monday’s Calendar section, pianist Nikolai Lugansky’s first name was misspelled as Nicolai.
AARP: The On the Media column in Saturday’s Calendar section, which reported on celebrities appearing on the cover of AARP the Magazine, said that AARP was formerly known as the American Assn. for the Advancement of Retired Persons. The organization for those over 50 used to be known as the American Assn. of Retired Persons.
