Urban Outfitters brings back Hillary Clinton nutcracker; critics react
- Share via
Urban Outfitters is taking heat for once again selling a Hillary Clinton nutcracker.
Yes, it's just what it sounds like.
The item is Clinton’s full body -- smiling face, arms crossed -- with the claws being her legs.
The controversial nutcracker made its first appearance around the 2008 election season. It goes for $60 but is already sold out online.
The nutcracker's packaging includes phrases like "Is America ready for this nutcracker?" and "Stainless steel thighs."
The nutcracker creator's website site says it is currently shut down.
"The Hillary Nutcracker website has temporarily closed. We expect to re-open with the 2016 model upon the official announcement of her next Presidential campaign."
Urban Outfitters, which has been blasted before, most recently for selling a Kent State sweatshirt with what appeared to be fake blood on it, is once again drawing ire.
Attempts to reach Urban Outfitters for comment were unsuccessful.
