And the beat goes on for London-born Michael Blakey, who was once described by Modern Drummer Magazine as one of the world’s best. Blakey, a veteran music producer, has slashed the price of his Beverly Hills home by a tidy $1.7 million -- bringing it down to $2,995,000 from its original listing price in August of $4,695,000.
The 5,556-square-foot house has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and a “top of the world” location. There are custom finishes throughout and a state-of-the-art security system. The property is about an acre and has views of downtown L.A . and the canyons. There are hardwood and stone floors and two fireplaces.
Blakey has worked with artists such as Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Engelbert Humperdinck and Brooke Allison.
Connie De Groot of Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills, is the listing agent.
