A good chunk of the success of the CW’s “Girlfriends” goes to Golden Brooks’ portrayal of Maya Wilkes, the sassy secretary who gradually lost her ghetto and morphed into an acclaimed author. Now it’s time for Brooks to apply the sass and splash to the house she just listed at $1,799,900. It is also available for lease at $8,950 a month.
The Hollywood Hills contemporary has an open floor plan and a three-story entry hall. The home has four bedrooms and 3 1/2 bedrooms in 3,500 square feet. There is also a home office, a chef’s kitchen, two fireplaces and floors made of hardwood and concrete. There is a spa bath in the master bedroom suite. The home has a covered patio and is gated with a private two-car, direct-access garage.
Brooks, 38, starred in 42 episodes of “Girlfriends” from 2000 to ’07. She also played Rachel in the 2008 movie “A Good Man Is Hard to Find.” She has appeared in “ CSI: Miami,” “Eve” and “The Jamie Foxx Show.” She also wrote and directed episodes of “Girlfriends.”
Rande Gray and J. Todd Michaud, both of Keller Williams Brentwood, share the listing.
