“Always and forever” must mean something to “The Originals” actor Joseph Morgan: He’s engaged!
Now our “Vampire Diaries”-”Originals” crossover hearts feel as if they’ve been transfused with Original vampire blood.
The star of the CW’s “Vampire Diaries” spinoff will wed his former costar Persia White, his rep confirmed to Us Weekly on Thursday.
“We really appreciate those of you who have supported our wild, creative, passionate and unlikely relationship,” the couple told the mag in a statement. “We have found a rare and precious thing; true love. We wish you all the same.”
Morgan, 32, who plays diabolical werewolf-vampire hybrid Klaus on the series, first met White, 41, when he was working on Season 3 of “The Vampire Diaries.” She plays the witch-turned-vampire Abby Bennett Wilson (a.k.a. Bonnie’s mom).
“I was waiting for this moment to break it to you,” the actor told E! News at the CW Upfront presentation on Thursday when asked about the engagement and proposal.
“I’m not going to go into specific detail but I tried to be romantic. It was a nerve-racking moment but it was special,” said the Brit.
His freshman CW series aired its dramatic finale on Tuesday and has been picked up for a second season. It will move from Tuesday night to Mondays at 8 p.m. in the fall
After live-tweeting the finale, the actor took time to thank the show’s rabid fan base in character.
“Without your support, this show would not exist. Thank you all from the bottom of my cold, dark heart. Sincerely, Klaus Mikaelson,” he wrote.
