The collective of Olvera Street merchants mark the nine nights leading up to Christmas with Las Posadas, an annual processional-type reenactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for shelter on Christmas Eve. Festivities kick off at nightly at 6 p.m. with the breaking of a piñata, with the processional starting atl 7:30 p.m. Olvera Street, L.A. 6 p.m. Fri.- Dec. 24 Free.
