Made in L.A. is a biennial survey of the absolute best in local art from a variety of media. Hosted by the Hammer Museum, it’s a compendium of work from rising artists’ early careers, and aside from being an excellent show, it puts the imprimatur of one of L.A.’s best-regarded institutions behind the artists as they reach wider audiences. Hammer Museum, 10899 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. Tues.-Fri. 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat.-Sun. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $10. madeinla2012.org.
