CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION
Bell 3, Chatsworth 1 (OT)
Carlos Lopez scored two goals, including one in the first of two 10-minute overtime periods to break a 1-1 tie in the game at Bell. Lopez’ first goal gave No. 3-seeded Bell (12-0-7) a 1-0 lead in the first half, but Chatsworth (13-6-4) tied the score with five minutes left in regulation play on a goal by Alfredo Bautista. Rogelio Flores scored the final goal for Bell, which will play host to Belmont in a second-round game Tuesday.
Belmont 2, El Camino Real 1
Ricky Mora and Dimas Mejia also each scored a goal to give host Belmont (9-1-3) an insurmountable 2-0 lead.
Fairfax 1, Monroe 0
Felix Veles scored the winning goal for host Fairfax (13-5-5) in the 75th minute.
Franklin 2, South Gate 0
Hector Cortez scored both goals and keeper Martin Romero made four saves to lead host Franklin (9-0-4) past South Gate (5-1-4).
Grant 7, Gardena 1
Moises Gomez scored five goals to lead host Grant (13-6-2). Frank Khan scored the only goal for Gardena (11-5-4). Gomez has scored a school-record 41 goals this season.
L.A. Hamilton 2, Sherman Oaks CES 1
Sophomore Jose Guerrero had a goal and sophomore Jorge Ruiz scored the game-winner with 20 minutes left for visiting L.A. Hamilton (7-6-1). Christian Cruz scored the ony goal for host Sherman Oaks CES (11-2-2).
L.A. Jordan 8, Bravo 0
Jesus Martinez had four goals and Abran Madrigal added two goals for host L.A. Jordan (9-1-4).
Locke 2, Lincoln 0
Juan Rodriguez and Jesus Vargas each had a goal and keeper Eric Contreras recorded his eighth shutout of the season for host Locke (10-2-5).
Reseda 1, Manual Arts 0 (2 OT)
Brian Gonzalez scored in double-overtime for host Reseda.
San Fernando 3, Cleveland 1 (OT)
Danny Torres scored two goals, including the game-winner six minutes into the second half of overtime on an assist from Cesar Alvarez, for 18th-seeded San Fernando (11-4-3) at 15th-seeded Cleveland. Alvarez added an insurance goal two minutes later.
San Pedro 4, Palisades 1
Carlos Lira had two goals and Dustin Castania added two assists to lead host San Pedro (14-4-4).
Sylmar 5, Foshay 1
Julian Lopez had had two goals and two assists for the host Spartans (20-4-2), which will play San Fernando in a second-round game at home Tuesday. Julian Ponce, who was academically ineligible for most of the season, had two goals in his fourth game back for No. 2-seeded Sylmar. Adrian Lopez also scored a goal for the Spartans, who defeated San Fernando, 1-0, and, 5-0, in Valley Mission League play this season.
Wilmington Banning 2, Birmingham 1 (OT)
German Delgado scored the game-winning goal in the 14th minute of overtime to lead visiting Wilmington Banning (5-2-3) to the upset of fourth-seeded Birmingham. Jorge Covarrubios scored the first goal for the Pilots.
