Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Turk, Calif.

A shallow magnitude-3.3 earthquake was reported Monday morning one miles from Turk, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:07 a.m. PST time at a depth of 10.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was seven miles from Coalinga, 14 miles from Avenal, and 26 miles from Lemoore.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
