Coast Guard rescues stricken fisherman off San Diego

Reporting from San Diego — A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter Tuesday rescued a 71-year-old man from a fishing boat 30 miles off San Diego after he suffered a possible heart attack.
The man was aboard the 56-foot commercial fishing boat Seeker when he collapsed, injuring himself. The crew called the Coast Guard just before noon.
An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from San Diego was dispatched to the Seeker’s location. The man was brought aboard the helicopter and by 3 p.m., he was in San Diego for emergency medical care.
