Police were searching Saturday for a man who shot at an off-duty Los Angeles officer Saturday morning in Inglewood.
The officer was stopped at a traffic light on his way home from work around 3 a.m. when another vehicle pulled alongside him, LAPD spokeswoman Rosie Herrera said. The assailant yelled out a gang slogan and then fired at least one shot.
The officer, who was not identified, did not return fire and was not injured in the incident near the intersection of Imperial Highway and Crenshaw Boulevard, Herrera said.
