College student stabs roommate, injures himself, police say

A Santa Clara University student was arrested Tuesday after assaulting and stabbing his roommate in their dormitory room, police said.
Santa Clara police say Dillon Sang Kim, 19, stabbed his roommate with a knife and then injured himself in their campus dorm in the 500 block of El Camino Real.
Kim’s booking photo shows a red horizontal slice that nearly encircles his neck.
His roommate suffered multiple wounds and was taken to an area hospital. He is expected to recover, police said.
Kim also received medical treatment. He was later released and booked
It is unclear what sparked the alleged attack.
