Re “One word for parks’ flip-flop ban: shoo,” Sept. 18
I think I have this right: The city of San Juan Capistrano doesn’t want me to wear flip-flops in some of its parks because I might stab myself with wood chips.
San Juan Capistrano is a beach town. Everyone wears flip-flops. Everyone expects to get junk underfoot. Personally, I’d rather kick out wood chips than a whole lot of other things.
This looks like another case of someone with not enough to do.
