Readers React: Brown signs bill to speed firing teachers

To the editor: So now the schools want to fire teachers faster. And recently, L.A. Unified offered teachers a tiny raise, after years of stress and threats to their jobs.

After 37 years teaching public high school and now retired, I can only sigh and think that no teacher here can be saying, “Gee, what a great time to be a teacher.”(“Brown OKs bill to speed teacher firings,” June 26)
