Gov. Jerry Brown will attend the funeral of a Riverside police officer believed to have been killed by former LAPD Officer Christopher Dorner.
Services for Officer Michael Crain will be held at Grove Community Church in Riverside on Wednesday morning.
Brown announced his plans as Los Angeles police officers had surrounded a cabin in Big Bear where they believe Dorner, the subject of a massive five-day-long manhunt, had barricaded himself.
Crain and his partner were shot early Thursday morning. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Dorner is also the prime suspect in the killing of Monica Quan and her fiance, Keith Lawrence. Quan is the daughter of a retired LAPD captain whom Dorner allegedly blamed in part for his dismissal.
