Estancia High received sweeps from all three of its doubles teams to
claim a 14-4 Golden West League girls tennis victory over host
Saddleback Tuesday.
Asia Ingram and partner Heather Morton, along with the duo of
Huong Thai and Kittiya Sudhikam, swept in doubles while Sara Stratton
didn’t lose a set in singles.
Stacie Nellor took two of three sets at No. 1 singles for the
Eagles (10-0, 9-0 in league) who travel to face Santa Ana today in a
match that will likely determine the league championship.
CdM blanks Eagles
* Corona del Mar Coach Scott Feichter gave two of his seniors the
day off Tuesday and his team still earned an 18-0 Pacific Coast
League host Calvary Chapel.
Seniors Brittany Holland and Jackie Manning swept in singles to
help CdM improve to 6-4, 3-1 in the PCL. Calvary Chapel dropped to
5-8, 0-4.
Sage still undefeated
* Sage Hill , ranked No. 1 CIF Southern Section Division V,
remained undefeated Tuesday in the Academy League after a 15-3
victory over host Whitney.
Sarah Geocaris an Stephanie Langer swept singles play to help Sage
Hill improve to 9-3, 7-0 in league. Whitney dropped to 6-5, 2-5.
Sailors post league win
* Newport Harbor defeated Irvine, 15-3, in a Sea View League match
Tuesday.
Vanessa Dunlap swept her three singles sets for the Sailors (8-4,
3-1). Also sweeping for Newport Harbor was the doubles team of A.J.
Olson and Diana Khoury. Sasha Dunlap teamed with a pair of partners,
Chrissy Schwartz for one set and Megan McKay for two sets, to sweep
her three sets.
