Orange County coroner’s officials on Thursday identified the body found near the end of the jetty at Bolsa Chica State Beach on Saturday evening as that of 39-year-old Daraline Bou.
A fisherman found Bou’s body wedged between rocks at the inland outlet channel about 5 p.m., said Kevin Pearsall, public safety superintendent for California State Parks.
Bou was clothed, had no identification on him and was carrying a backpack when he was found.
The Orange County coroner’s office did not detail the cause of death, but Pearsall has said that Bou probably drowned and there were no obvious signs of foul play or trauma.
