No one said it was going to be easy or predictable in the Trinity League baseball race.
After Wednesday’s games, there are no teams left with an unbeaten league record. And that’s two games into the season.
Santa Ana Mater Dei handed No. 1-ranked JSerra a 6-4 defeat behind Rece Goodman, who allowed two hits in 5 1/3 innings. Austin Reyes came in to get the save.
Blake Hunt had two hits and three RBI. Brandon Perez added two hits. The two schools are 1-1 this week and play their third game on Friday at JSerra.
Santa Margarita defeated St. John Bosco, 11-1. And Orange Lutheran pounded Servite, 16-4. Garrett Mitchell went three for three and Andrew Riverroy had four RBI.
After two games, all six teams are 1-1. It’s going to be a wild 15-game season.
