Boys’ basketball: Orange Lutheran stays right behind Mater Dei

Orange Lutheran still has ambitions of winning the Trinity League, and if the Lancers can win one more game this week, they’ll set up a showdown at home against first-place Mater Dei next Wednesday night.
Their latest win was a 68-54 victor over Servite. UCLA football Coach Jim Mora was in attendance watching Bruin recruit Keisean Lucier-South, who had 19 points. CJ Hankins had 15 and Rogers Printup 12. Orange Lutheran is 18-3 and 5-1. Mater Dei (18-3, 6-0) defeated JSerra, 70-47. Rex Pflueger had 15 points and La’vette Parker 14.
St. John Bosco defeated Santa Margarita, 67-42. Vance Jackson scored 13 points.
In the Sunset League, Edison (17-5, 5-0) pulled out a 55-54 win over Los Alamitos.
In the Ocean League, Santa Monica defeated El Segundo, 62-24. Jonah Mathews scored 18 points.
Oak Park defeated Camarillo, 74-47. Riley Battin had 23 points, Michael Alvarez 21 and Wesley Slajchert 15 points.
Thomas Frank scored 19 points in St. Bonaventure’s 64-48 win over Santa Clara.
San Marino defeated South Pasadena, 53-37. Brian Low had 16 points.
Riverside JW North improved to 19-1 with 71-58 win over Riverside Poly.
Stephen Thompson Jr. had 27 points in Bishop Montgomery’s 73-53 win over Gardena Serra. Cathedral defeated St. Bernard, 74-42.
