Crenshaw, Banning, Carson, Westchester athletes getting concussion tests

The Cleveland Clinic will be giving baseline concussion testing to athletes from Crenshaw, Banning, Carson and Westchester this week while using new technology it developed.
It uses an iPad’s gyroscope to measure an athlete’s balance as part of an assessment system to help understand when an athlete is ready to return from a concussion.
More than 7,000 students have been screened in Northeast Ohio this summer.
