Football: Derwin Henderson looks to turn around Long Beach Millikan
- Share via
Derwin Henderson knows how to turn around football programs. He was successful at South East and Morningside and now he will take over the program at Long Beach Millikan. The Rams haven’t been to the playoffs since 2009.
Johnny Buska, a junior quarterback who transferred from Mater Dei, will get to pass the ball often. Henderson loves to give opportunities to his quarterback.
Anthony Carswell is a running back with lots of speed and will contribute at cornerback.
Monty Peterson returns at inside linebacker, where he led the team in tackles last season.
There’s lots of speed, but Millikan will have to deal with the likes of Long Beach Poly and Lakewood in the Moore League.
