Football: Mike Leibin in the running for Westlake coach
- Share via
Westlake has been conducting interviews for its vacant head coach job in football, and one of the top candidates is Thousand Oaks Coach Mike Leibin, a former Westlake player and former assistant coach.
The Acorn reported in a tweet that former Nordhoff Coach Tony Henney, the head coach at Trabuco Hills, and former Westlake player Tim Kirksey are also finalists.
Leibin would seem the ideal choice, but he’s not likely to leave Thousand Oaks very easily. Top quarterback Max Gilliam returns for the Lancers.
Leibin already works in the Conejo Valley Unified School District, so he’d have an easy transition if he’s offered the job and accepts.
