Football: Santa Margarita selects former Nebraska assistant Rich Fisher as its new coach
- Share via
Rich Fisher, a former receiver coach at Nebraska, has been selected to be the next football coach at Santa Margarita. He will be introduced on Friday.
Before going to Nebraska, he was a prep coach in Massachusetts.
He also coached at the collegiate level for Idaho, Colorado and Oklahoma State.
Fisher is 45 years old.
It’s no longer unusual for former college assistants to return to the prep ranks. Orange Lutheran and Loyola both have former college assistants as head coaches.
