Girls’ basketball: Top teams show off skills at Palisades tournament

The opening night of the Palisades girls’ basketball tournament let several top teams get off to great starts.
Troy opened with a 65-7 win over Taft.
Chaminade routed Riverside North, 70-32. Leoanna Odom, a transfer from Mater Dei, scored 17 points. Valerie Higgins added 12.
Sophia Song scored 31 points in Keppel’s 71-43 win over Marlborough.
Windward defeated Agoura, 58-41. Jayde Woods, an Oregon commit, scored 16 points for Windward.
Tuesday’s schedule: Palisades vs. Palos Verdes, 4 p.m.; Mater Dei vs. Long Beach Millikan, 5:30 p.m.; Serra vs. Garces, 7 p.m.; West Torrance vs. Oaks Christian, 8:30 p.m.
