Update: Despite offensive struggles (seven goals in the last four games), the Kings are battling to solidify a playoff berth in the West. It’s helped that Anze Kopitar has 16 points in the last 13 games while Dustin Penner has a point in three straight. Jonathan Bernier will get the start in net. He stopped 182 of 193 shots for a .943 save percentage in an eight-game span, including his third career shutout March 3 against the Phoenix Coyotes. Drew Doughty, after taking an elbow to the face Wednesday night courtesy of the Detroit Red Wings’ Todd Bertuzzi, practiced with the team Thursday and reported no concussion symptoms. The Blue Jackets are 3-3-4 over their last 10 and could be at the point of playing spoiler.
